Veganism, An Introduction

Veganism is a specific type of diet wherein, the person excludes the consumption of everything that includes or is an animal product directly. This includes the use of Dairy Products as well. Veganism is not very much different from Vegetarianism but at the same time is very much different from vegetarianism!
Its of a common perception that veganism is something that is a trend to Millennial but in fact, its is something that has been the part of the human civilisation for the longest time one can remember. As a matter of fact, veganism which was earlier known as Strict Vegetarianism has a long tradition with the people of our beloved nation, India.

The earliest  object in the world to mention vegetarianism is an edict of the Indian Buddhist ruler Ashoka. It proclaims that the king abstains from beings who are 'animate', hence encouraging the principles of #Veganism. It is very much safe to say that, veganism has a deep root in the traditions and minds of people.
The Jain, Buddhist, Brahmins and many such clans and communities in India have long been following the tradition and principles of Veganism.
